Time Loss is an ode to the restlessness of a non-young person who cannot compete the ever-growing fugitive time which runs faster than his own inevitable aging, thus, ‘he counts down the summers he has left’. Due to this agony is determined to sacrifice all that he has ever succeeded for a single moment of youth as ‘Old he comes to exchange his wisdom with a flash of shameless love’.
Time Loss starts with a countdown guitar riff and gives away the feeling of being composed especially for the juvenile, almost childish, voice of Sarah P.. Her astonishing performance offers a vague colour to the melody line which is orchestrated by retro-disco synths, runaway arpeggios, epic brasses and glassy percussion. A sublime combination that incarnates nostalgia, indulged as a whole in a single track.
